Who Is Ms. Turcotte?
Personal HistoryI was born and raised on the east coast of both the United States and Canada. My father was a jockey and my mother was a teacher-turned-homemaker. From my father I inherited my love of animals, camping, and nature. From my mother I inherited my love of history and my academic and organizational skills. I was blessed with a childhood spent in both the country and the city, learning great lessons from both lifestyles. I was also fortunate enough to have attended both private and public schools during my K-12 years. I love working with animals, reading, camping, crafting, and spending time with family and friends.

Academic HistoryIn my K-12 years, I attended both Catholic and private schools in the United States and Canada. After graduation, I attended universities in both Canada (Dalhousie University) and the United States (University of Maine at Presque Isle), where I received my Bachelor of Science and Education degrees, focusing on Psychology, History, Language, and Elementary Education. After earning my degrees, I taught in schools in Canada in various capacities. In 1996, I was hired as the fifth grade teacher here at St. Joseph School, and have continued in that capacity ever since. I am proud to be part of this wonderful community.
